Congratulatory Note 30

Congratulatory Note 30

Since VCC is all about choosing, I choose to say Thank you!

VCC has been an empowerment vehicle for those of us wishing to make what’s called “informed” decisions and wise choices about our health.

Boy do we ever need self empowerment!!  We’ve been conditioned to go along with what authorities want, right from childhood – whatever our parents, teachers, doctors say – but once we’re adults, we need the ability to pause and assess what’s right for us.

When i look at the big picture, I see that almost no one has been taught HOW to stop going along and how to start questioning authority so we can determine for ourselves what’s right for us.  The repercussions of this permeate our entire society.

This is what the traditional rites of passage did for young adults.  Kids were directly challenged to question, ask and to speak up when they didn’t want to go along with something they were not in agreement with.  As part of a rite of passage, they were challenged to take responsibility for their choices in order to participate as a contributing member of society.

Now we say: “You’re 18 and free to do what you want”, often forgetting to add:  “And you’re responsible for the consequences of every choice you make, and we need you.”

Vaccine Choice Canada has been empowering people to make choices based on a personal “yes”, or “no”, or “maybe”, by giving us the information we cannot find through mainstream media, or institutions and to ask questions.  Many of our authorities have fallen under the influence of large corporations which by analogy are like abusive parents, caring only for their own interests, while many labour under the misperception that they’re being cared for by benevolent parents.

I say Three Cheers and Many Thanks to all those who contribute to making our lives better through VCC. May you all live long and prosper!
