Will the next Green Party leader protect our rights and freedoms?
July 22, 2020
Dear Leadership Candidates
First of all, thank you for your willingness to stand for consideration for leadership of the Green Party of Canada and your commitment to be of service to all Canadians.
I’m writing on behalf of the many Canadians who are members of Vaccine Choice Canada. It is our wish to select a leader who acknowledges and actively supports our values and is committed to preserving our Constitutional rights and freedoms.
I would appreciate if you would declare your position on the following so we can share this information with our members:
- Will you defend the right of every Canadian to make up their own mind when it comes to the use of vaccine products?
- Will you ensure that parents—not the government—make the vaccination decisions for their children?
- Will you ensure that no child in Canada is deprived of the right to a public education and public daycare because of their medical choices?
- Will you put an end to the use of the ‘mature minor doctrine’ to vaccinate minor children without the knowledge or consent of their parents, a practice that puts children at risk and violates the rights and responsibility of parents?
- Will you support therapeutic choice and allow Canadians to decide how best to maintain good health and strong immunity?
- Will you protect the right of Canadians to bodily sovereignty?
- Will you ensure that should a vaccine for SARS-CoV-2 be developed, that it is the right of every Canadian to choose whether or not to partake, and that no coercive measures or restrictions will be imposed on those who chose not to partake in this medical product?
- Will you ensure that all Canadians, including children, health care professionals, first responders, and military personnel, will be free from forced vaccination or coercive measures that effectively eliminate the right to informed consent?
- Will you ensure that Canada joins all other G20 nations (excepting Russia) that recognize the ability of vaccine products to cause injury and death and enact a national vaccine injury compensation program where vaccine manufacturers, and not Canadian taxpayers, are held liable for vaccine injury and death?
- Will you direct Health Canada to immediately conduct independent, inert placebo controlled, vaccinated vs. unvaccinated studies to determine the safety and efficacy of all vaccine products licensed for use in Canada?
- Will you require that all Canadians partaking in vaccine products be provided with the manufacturer’s product information monograph which documents vaccine ingredients, contraindications, known risks of injury and death, and limitations to safety testing?
- Will you outlaw the censorship that occurs in mainstream and social media of those who acknowledge vaccine injury and who advocate for informed consent, safe vaccine products and practices, and responsible public health policies?
These are serious matters that concern and affect many Canadians.
Your clear and definitive statements on your position on these matters will assist our members in selecting the leadership candidate that best represents their values and supports the kind of society we wish to live in.
I look forward to your considered response.
Sincerely,
Ted Kuntz, President

Meryam Haddad fully supports mandatory vaccinations and does not support the anti-vaccination movement.

I hope that you can appreciate that, given time constraints, I do not have the opportunity to complete lengthy questionnaires. We are a small volunteer campaign with limited capacity. I would also note, that your questions touch upon matters with which I am not completely familiar. I will continue to inform myself and I know that these matters are under active consideration by our members, who are ultimately the ones to set our party policy.
I will always be happy to receive any literature or links that you wish to forward.
Amita Kuttner
- Will you defend the right of every Canadian to make up their own mind when it comes to the use of vaccine products?
Amita fully supports everyone’s right to bodily integrity-no one should ever be forced to put something into their body which they do not want.
- Will you ensure that parents—not the government—make the vaccination decisions for their children?
Similarly, Amita would not support government-mandated vaccination. The child and their parent have full autonomy over their bodies.
- Will you ensure that no child in Canada is deprived of the right to a public education and public daycare because of their medical choices?
In severe situations, such as the pandemic we find ourselves in now, the safety of all Canadians is my utmost concern. While Amita would not support mandatory vaccinations, they would support restrictions being placed on those who are not immunized, to protect public safety.
- Will you put an end to the use of the ‘mature minor doctrine’ to vaccinate minor children without the knowledge or consent of their parents, a practice that puts children at risk and violates the rights and responsibility of parents?
Amita is not fully versed in the “mature minor doctrine” and will have to look in to this more. That said, they believe teenagers should be able to make decisions about their own bodies.
- Will you support therapeutic choice and allow Canadians to decide how best to maintain good health and strong immunity?
Amita would support whatever choices Canadians make in their private lives.
- Will you protect the right of Canadians to bodily sovereignty?
Amita will always fight for the sovereignty of every Canadian over their own body.
- Will you ensure that should a vaccine for SARS-CoV-2 be developed, that it is the right of every Canadian to choose whether or not to partake, and that no coercive measures or restrictions will be imposed on those who chose not to partake in this medical product?
Amita would ensure that no vaccine would be mandatory. However, they would take the necessary precautions to ensure that the general population is safe. They would not support coercive measures but they would support restrictions on those who are not vaccinated.
- Will you ensure that all Canadians, including children, health care professionals, first responders, and military personnel, will be free from forced vaccination or coercive measures that effectively eliminate the right to informed consent?
Yes, Amita would ensure that everyone has the right to an informed decision regardless of their vocation. However, if an organization like the Canadian military decides that vaccination is a requirement of a member to serve, they would uphold their right to do so.
Amita supports holding pharmaceutical companies accountable for injury and death caused by their products, and does not believe taxpayers should be on the hook. They need to do more research in to the policies of other G20 nations and the body of scientific evidence before committing to specific legislation in this matter.
- Will you direct Health Canada to immediately conduct independent, inert placebo controlled, vaccinated vs. unvaccinated studies to determine the safety and efficacy of all vaccine products licensed for use in Canada?
Amita would ensure that any vaccine that is put into use is fully vetted for safety prior to allowing public access to it. Whether this be a placebo-controlled test or other scientific process, they would ensure our safety protocols continue to be strengthened.
- Will you require that all Canadians partaking in vaccine products be provided with the manufacturer’s product information monograph which documents vaccine ingredients, contraindications, known risks of injury and death, and limitations to safety testing?
Much like the food we consume, Amita believes that Canadian’s should be made aware of the products that they are putting in their bodies. They broadly support informative product labeling.
- Will you outlaw the censorship that occurs in mainstream and social media of those who acknowledge vaccine injury and who advocate for informed consent, safe vaccine products and practices, and responsible public health policies?
Amita strongly believes free media is essential to a functioning democracy. They oppose any censorship regardless of the topic. They are also a supporter of scientific literacy and combating the spread of misinformation online, especially in cases where misinformation is likely to cause bodily harm.
