Grieving Dad Reacts to Teacher Persecution

Teacher Found Guilty of Professional Misconduct
I can barely contain my outrage as I read the news of the Ontario teacher found guilty of professional misconduct in providing students information about the known adverse effects of vaccinations. How dare this teacher tell his students the truth! How dare this teacher use a science class as an opportunity to discuss informed consent! How dare he question the prevailing dogma that all vaccines are “safe and effective” for all children!
As the parent of a vaccine-injured child who is still grieving his death six days ago from a vaccine induced seizure disorder, I am outraged that the medical industry has captured our children’s schools.
Why is it “harassment” for a science teacher to ask medical professionals if they obtain informed consent from students prior to injecting them with complex biochemical pharmaceutical products that carry a risk of injury and death for some?
Why is it considered “abuse” of students when a science teacher initiates a discussion about published risks disclosed in the vaccine manufacturer’s product monograph about pharmaceutical products students may receive by injection in the school setting?
Why is published information which vaccine manufacturers are required by law to disclose prior to obtaining licensure for their vaccine products, forbidden to be discussed with students in the school setting?
Why is it forbidden to discuss the concept of informed consent with students?
Most Ontario parents are unaware that the Ontario Government has deemed children as young as eleven years of age capable of giving informed consent to this invasive medical procedure. The Mature Minor doctrine incorporated into Ontario’s Health Care Consent Act in 1996, allows minor children of no specific age, to make their own medical decisions without parental knowledge or consent.
I know many parents who were alarmed and felt a huge sense of violation when they discovered their minor children were vaccinated at school without their knowledge or consent. Even more disconcerting is stories that the children were coerced into this medical intervention by being told they would be suspended from school if they did not agree to being vaccinated. My own daughter was told her parents must not care about her when she refused the school offered vaccines.
When it comes to the topic of vaccinations it seems our code of ethics and international agreements on informed consent are deemed not to apply.
This in spite of the fact the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) provides clear guidelines about Informed Consent for doctors and other healthcare providers. Their detailed document on the requirements for valid consent states that,

“For consent to serve as a defence to allegations of either negligence or assault and battery, it must meet certain requirements. The consent must have been voluntary, the patient must have had the capacity to consent and the patient must have been properly informed.”

The document goes on to emphasize that as the law on consent to medical treatment has evolved, it has become a “basic accepted principle” that,

“every human being of adult years and of sound mind has the right to determine what shall be done with his or her own body.” Clearly physicians may do nothing to or for a patient without valid consent. This principle is applicable not only to surgical operations but also to all forms of medical treatment and to diagnostic procedures that involve intentional interference with the person.”

Unfortunately these same principles don’t seem to apply to children in Ontario schools.
For Mr. Sullivan to question whether his students had been duly informed of the adverse effects of this medical procedure is the action of a caring and responsible professional. To inform students that they have the right to refuse this voluntary medical intervention is honouring his professional and ethical codes of conduct.
Vaccination clinics have no place in our schools. Vaccinations are complex interventions and the known contraindications to various vaccines are increasing. This medical procedure should not be done in our schools. It should be done in a Doctor’s office by a physician who knows the medical history of the child and the family.
The failure of the teacher’s association and Mr. Sullivan’s own union to stand behind this teacher is more of a concern than the actions of this one teacher.
