Andrea Ring DCH discusses the allopathic and holistic perspectives on Dog and Cat vaccines and what is most appropriate to keep your animal protected. Andrea will also discuss zoonotic disease and the risks of contracting something from your animal.

Andrea started pursuing her passion for homeopathy in 1999 when her 16 year old dog became very sick. Toby was suffering from a variety of ailments including advanced kidney and liver disease and had stopped eating.  Her vet advised that he was simply a very old dog and nothing more could be done for him, however she was not prepared to give up.  Andrea took Toby to a holistic veterinary clinic that included an animal homeopath. He was put on a natural raw diet and treated homeopathically and naturopathically. He lived another 2 years and passed away peacefully at home at the age of 18.

Encouraged by homeopathy and holistic medicine, Andrea left a 25 year career in radio news broadcasting and journalism and began her homeopathic education.  She studied for 4 years, graduating with a Diploma of Classical Homeopathy in 2007 and then completed a 3 year program at the College of Animal Homeopathic Medicine. Andrea has worked in holistic and conventional veterinary clinics for many years and continues to practice homeopathy in collaboration with veterinarians via her private practice. She is also teaching pet parents the fundamentals of holistic animal health and how to effectively use homeopathy at home for their animals via her Teaching Website
