Protect Pregnancy and Breastfeeding Campaign

A collaboration by the Canadian Covid Care Alliance and the Mama Bears Project has brought together an international panel of experts to launch this campaign, creating a resource guide on COVID-19, mRNA vaccines and the safety and ethics of their use by pregnant and breastfeeding women. The campaign seeks to educate and empower women to make informed choices for themselves and their babies. Deanna McLeod HBSc and Mary Sharpe RM, PhD will join us to talk about the campaign.

Deanna is an expert in evidence-based data analysis and medical publications peer review. She is chair of the strategic advisory committee at the Canadian Covid Care Alliance. Mary is a registered midwife and associate professor in the Midwifery Education Program at Toronto Metropolitan University. She supports undisturbed pregnancy, birth, and lactation and is an advocate for informed choice and the precautionary principle.

Barbara Loe Fisher and the National Vaccine Information Center

Barbara Loe Fisher is co-founder and president of the National Vaccine Information Center (NVIC), a non-profit charity she founded with parents of vaccine injured children in 1982 to prevent vaccine injuries and deaths through public education. For the past four decades, she has led a national, grassroots movement and public information campaign to institute vaccine safety and informed consent protections in public health policies and laws. She is a researcher, author, consumer advocacy expert and the mother of a vaccine injured child.
