Measles

Measles presents as a whole body rash, fever, congestion, a cough, and pinkeye which lasts about a week. Measles is highly contagious and prior to vaccination almost all children contracted measles by age 15. For healthy children, measles is a mild disease and there have been no deaths associated with measles in the US for over a decade. Those deficient in Vitamin A are more likely to experience complications.

The Vaccine

  • The measles vaccine is a live-virus vaccine grown in cultures of chicken embryo cells.
  • In 1963, the CDC added the measles vaccine to the recommended schedule. Most provinces include the measles vaccine at 12 months, and a second at 18 months.
  • While the vaccine may have been effective in eradicating measles as a childhood illness, it appears to have contributed to the significant increase in chronic health conditions in children today.
  • The measles vaccine is given in combination with mumps, rubella and chicken pox (MMR-V). These are all live-viruses.
  • The vaccine does not confer life-long immunity, as is evidenced by the need for boosters.

Considerations for the Vaccine Decision

  • Recovery from natural measles confers life-long immunity.
  • Mothers who have been vaccinated for measles do not transfer long-lasting maternal antibodies to their infants which would protect the infant in the first few months of life.
  • While measles was once a serious illness, the mortality from measles declined 98.5% and was no longer considered a public health threat before the vaccine was introduced.
  • The measles vaccine, in combination with the other live vaccines, may be causing neurological damage in some children. There is compelling evidence that administering the MMR vaccine prior to three years can cause regressive autism. Autism has become epidemic with more than 1 in 36 children diagnosed. [31]
  • As of May 31, 2023, there have been more than 109,499 reports of measles vaccine reactions made to the Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System, including 547 related deaths. [32]
  • A US HHS study acknowledged that less than 1% of vaccine adverse events are reported. [33]
  • The safety of the measles vaccine has not been proven against a true placebo.
  • Richard Moskovitz deems the measles vaccine as “an unhealthy reprogramming of the immune system that trades of the acute, vigorous responses to infection” in favor of “weaker, but ongoing, chronic responses that have rendered us a lot sicker than we would have been has we simply left well enough alone.” [34]
  • Rudolf Steiner states that children need to go through certain acute inflammatory illnesses in order to develop a strong immune system and a healthy body.
  • Thomas Cowan states – “Children who are supported to work through these healing crises are invariably healthier and more resilient than children in whom these inflammatory crises have been suppressed with vaccines, antibiotics, and anti-inflammatory drugs.” [35]

Benefits of Measles Infection

Important facts about measles and its vaccines have been suppressed:

  • First, measles mortality rates had plummeted to almost nil prior to the widespread use of measles vaccines.[30]
  • Second, the general population enjoyed the benefit of long lasting true “herd immunity” from having had measles in childhood, prior to the mass use of measles vaccines. Infants born to naturally immune mothers were well protected in the first year of life. The vast majority of children who got measles sailed through the illness while gaining the tremendous health benefit of lifelong immunity, along with the ability to protect their offspring.
  • Third, these cross-generational benefits insured a strong immune foundation for the whole population as well as protection from various types of cancer.

Medical research journalist, Neil Miller, writes: “Children who are permitted to contract measles naturally are significantly protected against various cancers later in life. In fact, the wild measles virus has oncolytic (anti-cancer) properties. Tumour remissions after measles infection are well documented in the medical literature. Children who are required to be vaccinated against measles have had this anti-cancer protection stripped from them for life. They have been forced to trade a reduced risk of contracting measles for an increased risk of developing cancer later in childhood or as an adult.”

Miller cites numerous published medical articles listing the types of cancers adults are “significantly protected against” if they have contracted measles, rubella, or chickenpox early in life. These include cancer of the prostate, gastrointestinal tract, skin, lung, ear-nose-throat, lymphatics, as well as Hodgkins disease.[4] These protective benefits conferred by measles in childhood have now been dismantled by mass vaccination.
