Last week marked the beginning of the National Citizens Inquiry in Truro, NS. As I listened to the testimony of Dr. Chris Milburn and Dr. Peter McCullough I was moved to tears. The information was not new to me, so why the tears? As I reflected upon the moment and the emotion welling inside of me, I concluded my response was one of relief. Finally, after three years of deception, distortion and outright lies, the truth was finally being told in a public forum on Canadian soil.
What we have witnessed and experienced since 2020 is beyond comprehension. Somehow, the fabric of our society evaporated almost instantaneously. The caring, compassion, and trust between family and friends dissolved. Our governments, medical, legal and media became unrecognizable. Who would have imagined that we could have plunged into such a dystopian world so fast? And yet, that is what happened.
Humanity is being tested. We are being asked to declare what we value; what we stand for; what we will allow and disallow. It would appear that nothing can be taken for granted anymore. And, maybe, that is the gift of this time. We can no longer live unconsciously and unintentionally. It feels as though every word we speak, every action we take is a declaration of who we are and what we value. What has been made clear to me is that truth, freedom, and integrity are the foundations of the life I aspire to live and leave for my children and grandchildren.
May humanity find its foundation and be stronger for it.
