In his essay – Why Did So Many Institutions Fail? Jeffery Tucker asks an essential question: Why didn’t more people speak out? Why didn’t the courts work? Why didn’t all the people who knew the mandates were wrong speak out when it was most necessary to do so? Tucker argues that our family, friends, and neighbors, whether in academia, government, healthcare, media or business chose fear over facts and cowardice over truth. One benefit of the COVID experience is that it reveals one’s character.
The critical lesson here is to recognize the importance of moral courage in sustaining our essential freedoms. Robert F Kennedy knew in 1966 that “Few men are willing to brave the disapproval of their fellows, the censure of their colleagues, the wrath of their society.” He said, “Moral courage is a rarer commodity than bravery in battle or great intelligence.” The Honourable Brian Peckford has often stated that, “Democracy can only exist in a moral society.”
We thought that institutions such as the government, courts, public health, academia and media would protect us. We discovered that all these safeguards failed us. What is saving us are the doctors and nurses who are willing to suffer the wrath of their colleges, the independent media who offer uncensored speech, pastors who teach a moral code, and average citizens who refuse to comply with mandates that violate our rights. And, of course, the truckers who modeled moral courage by remaining loving and peaceful in the face of a government – ordered military takedown.

The Assault on Informed Consent
Dr Paul Thomas, a much beloved pediatrician of over 30 years, was forced to close his medical practice in 2022 after being suspended by the Oregon Medical Board. His crime was to publish a peer-reviewed study comparing health outcomes of patients who had been vaccinated to those who had not, the results of which were not to the Medical Board’s liking. He wrote the book, The Vaccine-Friendly Plan, to empower families and help them make informed decisions about vaccination. He is the founder and host of the show ‘With the Wind; Science Revealed’.

We are told by the likes of Max Igan, David Icke and Jean Nolan that the way out of this mess is for the public to collectively stand up and say, ‘No more!’
The theory is that if we all simply disregard what the authorities are trying to impose upon us and ignore them, they will be powerless, as our numbers will just be impossible to police and punish. Unfortunately, the challenge is to actually get people to do this collectively, especially when we aren’t told of any successes of this happening elsewhere.
Although we are beginning to see encouraging signs that this approach, no doubt born through impatience and exhaustion, is beginning to happen.
