How is it that we can acknowledge the tyrannical behaviour of others, or when looking in the rear view mirror of history, but seem unable to confront tyrannical behaviour when it is happening?
How is it that we can behave in immoral ways yet fail to recognize our own immorality?
How is it that good people can participate in behaviours that by any ethical standards would be deemed unethical, whether vaccine mandates or the sexualization of our children?
have intrigued and disturbed me over the last three years as I witnessed family, friends and colleagues, institutions, elected representatives, regulatory bodies and media act in ways that were and are violations of our most basic and fundamental moral codes.
This line of inquiry was further stimulated a few weeks ago when an organization that I dedicated years of my life to supporting, one that supports individuals with a disability, organized an event to process the “moral injury” experienced as a result of the founder of the organization being exposed for inappropriate sexual behaviour with members and supporters of the organization.
was described as “the experience of deep disappointment or offence by the people they held in high esteem”. The moral injury was a result of events that occurred decades ago but were only revealed recently. Nowhere in their description of the process was there an acknowledgement of the moral injury perpetrated by people held in high esteem during the last three years.
The fact is that the hierarchy of this international organization actively participated in the violation of the individual rights and sovereignty of management, staff, members and volunteers who held fast to their right to bodily sovereignty and informed consent with regards to the experimental genetic technology developed in response to COVID.
“What stands out for me by its absence is any reference to a review of the significant violations of rights and freedoms that occurred (in your organization) during the last three years, most especially with the campaign to impose the experimental genetic technology. I find it rather ironic that you held a session on Moral Injury and failed to use this opportunity to discuss the moral injury that occurred at your organization by participating in the violation of individual sovereignty.”
I repeated comments from my letter of resignation to the Board of Directors in December 2021 – “I hoped that (this organization) would be courageous in leadership and steadfast in their commitment to the founding principles of the community living movement – inclusion, tolerance, acceptance, respect for diversity, dignity, and strengthening community.” Regrettably this was not the case.
there was no acknowledgement of my letter or the courtesy of a response.
that humans are unable to discern whether their behaviours are of the highest ethical standards. Rather than assess one’s behaviour against a robust and long lasting moral code, such as individuals rights and bodily sovereignty, or ‘do unto others as you would have them do unto you’, there is a tendency to assess one’s behaviour based upon what most people are doing.
I find it deeply disconcerting to think how many participated in the tyranny of vaccine, masking, lockdown and other mandates over the last three years. It’s not just the political and public health leaders who are to be held accountable for drafting policies that violated our human rights and medical ethics code, but all those who imposed these violations through enforcement, shaming, firing, discrimination and more. At Nuremberg, only a handful of Nazi leaders were held to account. The fact is that the majority of the Germany population supported or complied with these violations. It is no different today.
as we have a firmly entrenched moral code based upon individual rights and freedoms, we are vulnerable to what most people think is the right answer. And with the sophistication of modern mind control/entrainment technologies, this does not bode well for the future of humanity.
