Dear VCC Community,
We are witnessing the Great Reveal. What is being revealed is just how captured, compromised and divided is the state of humanity today. Brian Peckford’s recent post explains that the solution to our troubles is bigger than simply getting rid of Justin Trudeau. Virtually every system that was meant to serve humanity has failed us these past two years - Federal and provincial governments, public health, mainstream media, education, legal, churches, and institutions such as the College of Physicians and Surgeons. We wouldn’t be where we are now if even one of these entities stood up and defended our rights and freedoms.
The fact that we are witnessing a massive failure across systems globally suggests that the foundation of society has been eroded for some time. We can be angry at Bonnie Henry, Doug Ford or Justin Trudeau for imposing mechanisms of coercion, or we can look at how it is that we have failed as a society to facilitate dialogue and wrestle with challenging issues. We may disagree on the substance of an issue but we should all agree on the process. What is missing today is mutual respect, dignity, integrity and accountability.
As Brian has stated - ‘Democracy can only exist in a moral society.’ Until we rebuild a moral foundation based on rights and freedoms, mutual respect and individual sovereignty, we will forever be subject to the whims of the ‘common good’. We need to strengthen our capacity for discernment, critical thinking, respect, and dialogue. Our children need us more than ever.

Monday evening Ted sent you an email informing you of our Fall 2022 Celebration. Vaccine Choice Canada is celebrating 40 years of protecting our right to medical choice. As a member and friend of VCC he asked if you would help VCC in our celebration. We intend to produce a video montage of photos, video clips and congratulatory notes as a way to capture our history and we are asking if you would like to contribute content to it.
