Dear VCC Community,
In drafting a submission on behalf of VCC to the Public Order Emergency Commission pertaining to the invoking of the Emergency Act in February 2022, two things became clear. One, is that the underlying issue leading to this historic and unprecedented moment was the Federal Government's failure to honour and protect the ethical and legal responsibility to informed consent. And secondly, Canadians who are aware of their rights and freedoms as stated in the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms saw the invoking of the Emergency Act as a declaration of war by the Federal government against its own citizens.
I have little confidence that the Commission will serve in any meaningful way to hold those responsible to account. Our government has acted illegally and immorally these entire two years and their continued propaganda that the COVID injections are safe, effective and necessary shows they are unable or unwilling to acknowledge their own failings.
What is clearly needed is a citizen’s inquiry to examine, expose, and hold accountable the failure of our governments, public health, and corporate controlled media to act in accordance with the laws of Canada, medical ethics, and our Charter rights. This means we need to stop looking to governments to solve this. It means that it's time for the citizens of Canada to reclaim our authority and to stand up and declare - we will not comply with illegal and immoral dictates.
The time for humanity to awaken and stand in their wisdom and authority is now.
