We’d like to take this opportunity to wish you a happy and healthy new year and to express our appreciation for your continued support, your kind donations and your concern about the role of vaccines in the decline of children’s health.

As children’s physical, mental and emotional health deteriorates, more families are questioning vaccine safety and effectiveness. Many choose to delay vaccines, or choose an alternate schedule, or walk away from the vaccine paradigm entirely. Health officials in the meantime, remain fixated in their stance of vaccine injury denial (VID) while aggressively defending ever expanding vaccine programs.  

To counter growing public concern, powerful new pro-vaccine lobby groups have sprung up and threaten to dominate internet discussion blogs and mainstream media articles on vaccines. Their influence is directly responsible for cancellation of U.S. Congressional Hearings on vaccine safety that were scheduled in December 2013. Their mission is to drown out any cautionary voices warning about vaccine risks. Voices for Vaccines (VfV) leads the charge with Dorit Reiss at the helm bombarding internet blogs with hundreds of commentaries at all hours of the day and night.  Reiss’s profile at the University of Hastings Law School notes that “she is quickly becoming the nation’s foremost legal expert about the potential for tort liability for parents who choose not to vaccinate their children.” 

Voices for Vaccines led the recent media and internet frenzy dissing celebrities Jenny McCarthy and Katie Couric for questioning aspects of the vaccine program. They denigrate any scientific or legal perspectives that question vaccine safety and discount the experiences of the vaccine injured. Wakefield bashing has been taken to a new low. VfV’s recent article, "Growing up Unvaccinated" is a hit piece against those who choose not to vaccinate.  Powerful rebuttals to the article signal the outrage felt by many and can be found at these links: here: here: and here: as well as here.

While Voices for Vaccines pretends to be an independent parent run pro-vaccine group, in reality it’s tucked under the wing of the Task Force on Global Health (TFGH) - a key player among organizations that push for the continued expansion of vaccine programs around the world.  TFGH is a billion dollar charity and partner organization of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control.  According to Forbes, the Task Force on Global Health is the third largest U.S. charity with a revenue of $1,664 million, almost all of it derived from private sources.   The Centers for Disease Control is in the conflicted position of approving and licensing vaccines, recommending new vaccines to the ever expanding vaccine schedule, and monitoring vaccine safety.

As stated on its website, the Task Force’s Center for Vaccine Equity oversees the Accelerated Measles Mortality Reduction Improving Routine Immunization in Africa (AMMRIRIA), the Rabies Vaccine/Immune Globulin Initiative, Voices for Vaccines, Polio Antivirals Initiative, Coalition for Cholera Prevention and Control, and is funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Merck and Novartis.

Voices for Vaccines is attempting to stifle debate on growing public concern about vaccine safety - a perceived threat to the vaccine status quo.  VfV boasts Dr. Paul Offit on its advisory board, a man who has reaped millions as a vaccine developer. Offit advocates for the abolition of vaccine exemptions, and has achieved infamy by claiming that an infant can safely receive 10,000 vaccines at the same time. As high profile vaccine injury denialists, Offit and Dorit Reiss are in good company with each other.

The “partnership” between government and private companies in which government pays for most of the research, then develops and licenses the vaccine for its own profit, as it did in the case of Gardasil is well described in Vaccines: A Crony Capitalism Dream by Hunter Lewis as a “shameless example of conflicts of interest, disregard for public safety, and crony medicine at its worst.”

The blood-brain barrier (BBB) is weak and easily trespassed during the first 2-3 years of life and often during the senior years. In other age groups the BBB normally restricts passage of substances from the bloodstream. But, an article by paediatrician Dr Lawrence Palevsky suggests that, even for the latter, polysorbate 80 in vaccines may allow other vaccine ingredients to enter the brain.
